This week, Vietnam's demand slightly rebounded, and FHS Steel has raised the quotation for SAE1006/SS400 hot-rolled steel coils by 29 US dollars per ton, with shipments from December to January of the following year, excluding value-added tax.
In terms of imports, the quotation for mainstream HX260BD+ZF steel coils in China has increased to 552-560 US dollars per ton of CFR, while the buyer's inquiry has increased to 545-550 US dollars per ton of CFR, HX260BD+ZF steel making it difficult to reach a transaction due to the large price difference. In terms of cold HX260BD+ZF steel coil base material, the mainstream SAE1006 hot rolled steel coil in China is quoted at $590/ton CFR, while the leading steel mills in Japan are also interested in quoting $590/ton CFR, with a shipping schedule in January. The buyer's demand is poor, with only a small number of small tonnage inquiries. Another Japanese steel mill has stated that its quota is very tight in the coming months and may stop quoting Vietnam at that time.
