In the past week, the domestic demand for hot-rolled steel coils in Russia has continued to be strong, and the export market for hot-rolled steel coils has improved. The latest export quotation for hot rolled HX260LAD+ZF steel coils from Russia is around 565-575 US dollars per ton FOB, and some market participants predict that export prices will rise in the short term. It is reported that the feasible price for exporting hot rolled HX260LAD+ZF steel coils from Russia is around 555-560 US dollars per ton FOB, an increase of 15-20 US dollars per ton from the previous week's 535-545 US dollars per ton. There have been transactions heard, but the tonnage is not large. We estimate that the export price of hot rolled HX260LAD+ZF steel coils from the Commonwealth of Independent States this week is $555-565 per ton FOB Black Sea, which has slightly increased compared to last week.
It is understood that although some market participants have stated that due to strong domestic demand for hot-rolled steel coils and various sanctions on exports, they do not need to consider the export market of hot-rolled steel coils and choose to focus on domestic transactions, some exporters have started to sell in small quantities, driven by the gradually strong export competitiveness of hot-rolled steel coils. The positive sentiment in the Russian hot-rolled steel coil export market is gradually increasing.
