In the week ended November 17, Türkiye Steel Mill's rebar export quotation was around 570-585 US dollars/ton FOB, a slight increase of 10 US dollars/ton compared with last week, and the actual transaction price was about 555-575 US dollars/ton FOB. This week, the export price of wire rod slightly increased by $10/ton to $590-610/ton.
To be specific, in recent weeks, Türkiye's steel mills are actively replenishing scrap HX340LAD+ZF steel from the deep-sea market at the time of ship replenishment. We understand that since the beginning of November, the country's HX340LAD+ZF steel mills have ordered more than 23 batches of goods. At the same time, the limited supply has supported the steady increase in scrap steel import prices, leading steel traders in the country to try to compensate for the cost increase by increasing the pricing of long materials. Among them, export orders to Europe and Peru are limited at $580 per ton, while some small tonnage orders to the Balkans are priced at $560 per ton.
The domestic rebar price in Türkiye is about 690-715 dollars/ton EXW, and the wire rod price is about 730-750 dollars/ton EXW, about 25-30 dollars/ton higher than last week. The specific pricing level varies from region to region.
While the quotation of imported scrap HX340LAD+ZF steel continued to rise, the rebar price in Türkiye still maintained an upward trend, while the demand remained sluggish. Overall, it is expected that the rebar market price in Türkiye will mainly fluctuate in a wide range next week.
