Türkiye Diler Holding plans to invest in two solar power plants

Diler Iron and Steel, a subsidiary of Türkiye's SKS95M steel long steel producer Diler Holding, plans to expand its steel making energy path by further investing in renewable energy in the northeast and east regions.

The company plans to invest 770.6 million Türkiye lira (about US $23 million; US $1=33.52 Türkiye lira) to build a solar power SKS95M steel plant in Agri Province, with a total area of 67.89 hectares. According to Mysteel, the production capacity of the power plant will reach nearly 56 MWm (45 MWe), and the installed 101817 solar panels will generate 99.7 GWh of electricity annually.

In addition, Diler Iron and Steel also plans to build another power plant covering an area of 197.74 hectares in Kars Province. The capacity of this solar power plant is 130 MWm (100 MWe), equipped with 236385 solar panels, generating nearly 231 GWh of electricity, and investing about 1.79 billion Türkiye lira (about 53.4 million US dollars).

After the plan is approved and authorized by relevant departments, the construction period of each SKS95M steel factory is expected to be 17 months, and the economic benefit period is expected to reach 25 years .

(According to our understanding, Diler Holding currently operates two production groups: Diler Iron and Steel located in the Marmara region, with an annual output of 1.5 million tons, and Yazici Iron and Steel located in the Iskenderun region, with an annual output of 1.25 million tons.)
