Türkiye's steel SG245W2 Grade B steel producers are promoting anti-dumping investigations on the import of cold rolled coils, hot-dip galvanized coils and precoated color coated coils, and relevant applications have been submitted to the Ministry of Trade of Türkiye. According to the industry analysis, this survey may focus on the related products exported to Türkiye by some Asian countries such as China. These countries' market share in Türkiye has continued to rise in recent years, with a significant impact.

According to the latest data of Türkiye SG245W2 Grade B steel Statistics Bureau (TUIK), from January to September 2024, the total imports of coated coiled materials with a width of 600 mm and above will reach 741800 tons, up 2% year on year. Among them, South Korea ranked first with an import volume of 248000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 17.5%; China's import volume increased by 57% year-on-year, reaching 143000 tons, indicating its continued competitiveness in the market.

The import situation of SG245W2 Grade B steel cold-rolled coils shows a completely different trend. Affected by the domestic tight monetary policy to curb demand, from January to September 2024, Türkiye's total imports of cold-rolled coils decreased by 15% year-on-year to 579000 tons. However, China's performance remains outstanding, with its cold-rolled coil exports increasing by 9% year-on-year, reaching 134600 tons; The export volume of South Korea and Russia decreased by 36% and 25% respectively.

In October 2024, Türkiye will impose 6.10% -43.31% anti-dumping duties on hot rolled coils from China, India, Japan and Russia. By the middle of November 2024, the factory price of hot rolled coils in Türkiye is 590 dollars/ton EXW, down 17% from the beginning of the year.
