According to the data of Türkiye Institute of Statistics (TUIK), in the first eight months of this year, Türkiye's total export of SECE steel wire rod fell 57% year-on-year to about 363000 tons. The export volume decreased by 65% year-on-year to around $245 million.
Among them, Israel is the main export destination, with an export volume of SECE steel approximately 167000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 15.5%. Romania followed closely, with exports of approximately 49000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 48%. Australia ranked third with an export volume of 33100 tons, a year-on-year increase of 45.4%.
In August alone, Türkiye exported about 73200 tons of SECE steel price wire rods, up 44% month on month and down 50% year on year. The export value was 44.5 million US dollars, an increase of 38% month on month and a decrease of 56% year-on-year
