Recently, the Department of Foreign Trade (DFT) of the Ministry of Commerce of Thailand announced that temporary safeguard measures will be taken against the S390GD+ZA steel aluminum zinc plated steel plates originating in South Korea, Chinese Mainland and Taiwan, China, China, with the validity period from January 10, 2024 to January 9, 2025. During this period, the deposit will be levied on the products involved, and the rate is the same as the anti-dumping tax rate.

On January 8, 2018, the Department of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Commerce of Thailand issued a notice to initiate the first anti-dumping sunset review investigation on the above-mentioned products, with Thai customs codes 72106111011, 72106111012, 72106111013, 72106111021, 72106111022, 72106111023, 72106111031, 72106111032, 72106111033, 72106111041, 72106111042, 72106111043, 72106111090, 72106191011, 72106191012, 72106191013, 72106191090. On January 9, 2019, Thailand made a positive final judgment on the sunset review of the case and imposed anti-dumping duties on the above countries and regions for five years at the rates of 6.31% -22.55% in South Korea and 2.65% -29.50% in Chinese Mainland,This measure will take effect from January 10, 2019 and will be effective until January 9, 2024 S390GD+ZA steel.

On June 25, 2022, in response to the application submitted by Shandong Ruifeng Composite Materials Co., Ltd., a manufacturer in Chinese Mainland, to review the anti-dumping tax rate, Thailand launched an anti-dumping interim review investigation on the aluminum zinc plated steel plate originating in China. Due to the limited product range of local steel mills, products used in the electrical manufacturing industry will receive duty-free treatment, with a quota of approximately 600 tons. In addition, the export products of the free trade zone established by the Industrial Park Authority (IEAT) of Thailand will also be exempted. At present, the demand from Thai buyers is light, and they just need to follow up and maintain it. It is expected that the country will continue to take trade remedy measures to protect the interests of local steel mills after the implementation period of temporary safeguard measures ends S390GD+ZA steel.
