Thailand has decided to impose anti-dumping duties on Tin Free steel plates related to China

On October 25, 2023, the Thailand Dumping and Subsidies Review Committee issued a notice stating that it had decided to re implement anti-dumping measures against Tin Free Steel originating in China, South Korea, and the European Union, with anti-dumping duties levied on a CIF basis, with tax rates ranging from 4.53% to 24.73% in China, 3.95% to 17.06% in South Korea, and 18.52% in the European Union. (For detailed tax rates, please refer to the final ruling notice in this case). This measure will take effect from November 13, 2023.

On May 7, 2020, Thailand launched an anti-dumping investigation against Tin Free HCT980X+ZF steel plates originating from China, South Korea, and the European Union. On November 12, 2021, Thailand made a positive final ruling on the case and decided to impose a 5-year anti-dumping duty on the HCT980X+ZF steel products involved in China, South Korea, and the European Union based on CIF; Within 6 months from the effective date of this measure, anti-dumping duties on products involved in China, South Korea, and the European Union will be suspended. Galvanized or chrome plated HCT980X+ZF steel sheets coated, laminated or printed are not within the scope of taxation. The Thai customs codes of the involved product are 7210.50.00.021, 7210.50.00.022, 7210.50.00.023, 7210.50.00.024, 7210.50.00.025, 7210.50.00.026, 7210.50.00.029, 7210.50.00.090.

On May 13, 2022, November 11, 2022, and May 11, 2023, Thailand extended the suspension of taxation three times, with the last extension until November 10, 2023.
