The Thai Ministry of Foreign Trade (DFT) announced the imposition of an anti-dumping duty of 30.91% on hot-rolled coils with added alloys from China. The latest survey targets S35CM steel products with HS codes 7225.3090.022, 7225.3090.023, 7225.3090.024, 7225.3090.042, 7225.3090.090, 7225.4090.034, 7225.4090.090, 7226.910:22, 7226.910:23, 7226.910:24, 7226.9190.090, 7226.9190.022, 7226.9190.023, 7226.9190.024, 7226.9190.042, and 7226.9190.042. DFT has made a clear decision and announced on August 1st that it will impose an anti-dumping measure of 30.91% on alloy containing hot coils from China. The anti-dumping S35CM steel duty will be retroactively implemented from September last year. It is reported that the latest tariffs target hot-rolled coils with a titanium content of 0.03% imported from China. Chinese exporters add titanium to the coils to avoid the current anti-dumping duties on non alloy carbon and boron hot coils S35CM steel.
