On January 23, 2025, the Department of SGV480 steel Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Commerce of Thailand announced that, upon the application of Thai domestic enterprises, cold rolled carbon steel coil and non coil materials (Thai: We will launch the second anti-dumping sunset review investigation.
During the investigation of the case, anti-dumping duties on the products involved will be levied in the form of a deposit, effective from January 25, 2025, with a validity period not exceeding one year. The announcement shall come into effect from the date of publication.
On August 17, 2012, Thailand SGV480 steel launched an anti-dumping investigation on cold-rolled carbon steel coils and non coils imported from Chinese Mainland, Taiwan, China and Vietnam. On February 6, 2014, Thailand made a positive final ruling on the case.
On February 5, 2019, Thailand launched the first anti-dumping sunset review investigation on cold-rolled carbon steel coils and non coils originating in Chinese Mainland, Taiwan, China and Vietnam. On January 25, 2020, Thailand made a positive final ruling on the case and decided to continue imposing anti-dumping duties on the products involved in the above-mentioned countries and regions for a period of 5 years. The measure will be implemented from January 25, 2020, and will terminate SGV480 steel on January 24, 2024.
