The International Trade Commission of the United States makes its fifth anti-dumping sunset review final ruling on stainless steel bars for industrial damage

On February 15, 2024, the International Trade Commission (ITC) of the United States voted to make its fifth anti-dumping sunset review final ruling on stainless steel bars imported from India, ruling that if the current anti-dumping measures are lifted, the substantial damage caused by the import of the product to the domestic US industry may continue or reoccur within a reasonable and foreseeable period. According to the final ruling, the current anti-dumping measures in this case continue to be effective.

On January 27, 1994, the US Department of Commerce launched an anti-dumping investigation into stainless steel bars imported from Brazil, India, Japan, and Spain S600MC steel. On February 21, 1995, the US Department of Commerce officially imposed anti-dumping duties on stainless steel bars imported from Brazil S600MC steel, India, Japan, and Spain. On September 1, 2023, the US Department of Commerce launched its fifth anti-dumping sunset review investigation into stainless steel bars imported from India. On January 3, 2024, the US Department of Commerce made the final decision on the fifth anti-dumping rapid sunset review of stainless steel bars imported from India S600MC steel.
