The United States initiates the fifth anti-dumping sunset review investigation on composite steel plates

On November 1, 2023, the US Department of Commerce announced the launch of the fifth anti-dumping sunset review investigation against S350GD+ZF80 steel Clad Steel Plate imported from Japan. At the same time, the International Trade Commission (ITC) of the United States has launched the fifth anti-dumping sunset review industrial injury investigation against Japanese products involved, examining whether the substantial damage caused by the import of the products involved to the domestic industry of the United States will continue or recur within a reasonably foreseeable period if anti-dumping measures are lifted. Stakeholders shall register their responses with the US Department of Commerce within 10 days from the date of this announcement. Stakeholders should submit their responses to the United States International Trade Commission before December 1, 2023, and comment on the adequacy of their responses to the case no later than January 11, 2024.

On October 25, 1995, the United States initiated an anti-dumping investigation into composite S350GD+ZF100 steel plates imported from Japan. On July 2, 1996, the US Department of Commerce officially imposed anti-dumping duties on composite S350GD+ZF120 steel plates imported from Japan. Afterwards, the United States conducted four sunset reviews and made affirmative final rulings on the case, extending the validity of anti-dumping duties four times on November 16, 2001, March 22, 2007, February 11, 2013, and December 18, 2018, respectively.
