The United States initiates the fourth anti-dumping sunset review investigation on malleable iron pipe accessories

On November 1, 2024, the United States S355WP Grade D steel International Trade Commission (ITC) initiated its fourth anti-dumping sunset review industry injury investigation into Malleable Iron Pipe fittings imported from China. The investigation aims to examine whether, if the current anti-dumping measures are lifted, the substantial damage caused by the importation of the products in question to the domestic industry in the United States will continue or reoccur within a reasonable foreseeable period. On November 4, 2024, the US Department of Commerce announced the launch of the fourth anti-dumping sunset review investigation into malleable iron pipe accessories imported from China. Stakeholders shall register their responses with the US Department of Commerce within 10 days from the date of this announcement. Stakeholders should submit their responses to the U.S. International Trade Commission by December 2, 2024, and provide comments on the adequacy of their responses to the case no later than January 2, 2025.

On November 25, 2002, the US S355WP Grade D steel Department of Commerce launched an anti-dumping investigation into malleable iron pipe accessories imported from China. On October 21, 2003, the US Department of Commerce made a final positive anti-dumping ruling on malleable iron pipe accessories imported from China. After the United States made a positive final ruling on the first anti-dumping sunset review of the above-mentioned products, the United States extended its anti-dumping duties on the products for the first time on April 22, 2009. After the United States made a positive final ruling on the second anti-dumping sunset review of the above-mentioned products, the United States extended the anti-dumping duties on the products for the second time on August 12, 2014. On July 1, 2019, the US Department of Commerce launched the third anti-dumping sunset review investigation into malleable iron pipe accessories imported from China. On November 1, 2019, the US Department of Commerce made the final ruling of the third anti-dumping fast sunset review on malleable iron S355WP Grade D steel pipe accessories imported from China.
