On May 22, 2024, the US HC180B steel Department of Commerce issued a statement announcing the first rapid sunset review final ruling on large diameter welded pipes imported from India and South Korea, ruling that if the countervailing duty in this case is cancelled, it will result in subsidies for the products involved in India continuing or recurring at a tax rate of 541.15%, and subsidies for the products involved in South Korea continuing or recurring at a tax rate of 0.01% -27.42%.
On February 12, 2018, the US Department of Commerce announced that it would launch a double anti-dumping investigation against large diameter welded pipes imported from China, India, South Korea and Türkiye, and also launch an anti-dumping investigation against the products imported from Canada and Greece. On November 7, 2018, the US Department of Commerce announced the final anti-dumping and anti subsidy ruling on large-diameter welded pipes imported from China and India. On February 21, 2019, the US Department of Commerce announced that it would make a final antidumping judgment on large diameter welded pipes imported from Canada, Greece, South Korea and Türkiye, and make a final countervailing judgment on large diameter welded pipes imported from South Korea and Türkiye. On February 1, 2024, the U.S. Department of Commerce announced that it would launch the first anti-dumping and countervailing sunset review investigation against large diameter welded pipes imported from China, India, South Korea and Türkiye HC180B steel, and the first anti-dumping sunset review investigation against large diameter welded pipes imported from Canada HC180B steel and Greece.
