On June 14, 2024, the Trade Defense Bureau of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam announced that domestic industry representatives in Vietnam SAE J2340 250A steel filed an anti-dumping investigation application against hot-rolled coils originating from China and India (Vietnamese: s ả n ph ẩ m th é p c á n n ó ng) on March 19, 2024. The Vietnam Trade Defense Bureau officially accepted the application on June 14, 2024, and the Ministry of Industry and Trade will determine whether to file the case within 45 days from the date of formal acceptance by the Trade Defense Bureau.
On July 29, 2024, the Trade Defense Bureau of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam announced that it would officially launch an anti-dumping investigation into hot-rolled coils originating from China and India SAE J2340 250A steel. It requested that the investigating party provide reasonable evidence to prove the dumping behavior of the investigated hot-rolled coils and provide data, with India's dumping margin being 22.27% and China's SAE J2340 250A steel dumping margin being 27.83%.
