We have learned that the current price of wire rod from non mainstream steel mills in the UAE is about 560-565 US dollars per ton CPT. Some market participants have expressed that there are certain differences in the prices of local wire rods in the UAE in order to gain market share. However, the prices of mainstream steel mills in the UAE have been affected to some extent. Due to the continuous rise in raw material CR DP1000 steel prices, some steel mills plan to raise their prices in the future. Faced with fierce competition, Emirates Steel Arkan, a local wire manufacturer in the United Arab Emirates, announced earlier this week that it will mainly focus on customized orders in the future. Currently, ESA's market share is about 70%.
Oman's quoted price for UAE CR DP1000 steel wire is approximately $575-580 per ton CPT. Some market participants have indicated that the actual transaction price of Oman's resources is expected to differ significantly from the quoted level, while Iran's quoted price is $570 per ton CPT. At present, some Chinese steel mills are also paying attention to the UAE market. Some steel mills have reported that China's quotation is about 5-10 US dollars/ton lower than the overseas resources mentioned above.
