The domestic sheet metal prices in Europe have seen a double increase in transactions, and the advantage of imported resources is gradually diminishing

This week, European hot coil prices have remained stable, with current prices in Central Europe at around $780 per ton EXW Germany, an increase of $10 per ton compared to the previous week. The shipping schedule is expected to be within 8 weeks, and the actual transaction price has decreased by about $25 per ton HDT750C+ZM steel. The factors contributing to its price increase are largely related to the impact of rising import prices. The price of the Asian resource heatwave (February shipping schedule) is 635 euros/ton CFR Italy (684 US dollars/ton CFR), with a week on week increase of about 15 US dollars/ton, and the price difference is gradually narrowing compared to the local price (740 US dollars/ton EXW Italy). The price of hot roll from Türkiye for January shipping is 650 euros/ton CFR Italy (700 dollars/ton CFR Italy, including anti-dumping duties). Overall, the price of imported hot coils is on the rise, and the price difference between imports and exports is gradually narrowing. Coupled with long delivery cycles (April May), the advantage of imported resources is gradually diminishing HDT750C+ZM steel.

In terms of cold coils and hot-dip galvanizing, prices have also shown an upward trend recently, with more orders. On the same day, the local price of European cold coils was 775 euros/ton EXW rubles (834 US dollars/ton EXW), an increase of 15 euros/ton compared to the previous day, a week on week increase of 5 euros/ton, and a decrease of 5-10 euros/ton in actual transaction price. The price of hot-dip galvanizing on the same day was 785 euros/ton EXW ruhr (845 US dollars/ton), an increase of 10 euros/ton compared to the previous day, and the actual transaction price decreased by 10-15 euros/ton EXW ruhr HDT750C+ZM steel.
