According to the data of Türkiye Institute of Statistics (TUIK), in November 2023, the export volume of rebar in Türkiye will be 301600 tons, which is equal to that of the previous year and the previous month.
Among them, as the number of rebar exported from Türkiye to Israel has declined, Yemen will become the largest rebar export destination of Türkiye in November 2023, with an export volume of 69000 tons, up 82% year on year. The quantity of rebar exported from Türkiye to Israel dropped to 38500 tons, down 61% year on year. Due to geographical problems, on October 10, 2023, the Ministry of Transport of Türkiye will raise the security level of goods transported to Israel to the highest level DX56D+ZA steel.
In November 2023, Romania (35600 tons) will be the main export place of Türkiye's rebar, which will be 1000 tons in the same period last year; Djibouti (19000 tons), up 80% year-on-year; Syria (14200 tons), up 40% year-on-year; Netherlands (14000 tons); Northern Cyprus (10600 tons) DX56D+ZA steel.
Throughout 2023, the pricing of rebar in Türkiye has been facing the pressure of low demand, strong competition and high cost. According to our understanding, as of the press date, due to the increase in the import price of scrap steel in Türkiye, the export quotation of deformed steel bars in Türkiye has risen to about $610/ton FOB DX56D+ZA steel.
