Türkiye BMS began to export galvanized steel wire to EU

Türkiye's galvanized steel wire manufacturer BMS Birlesik Metal announced on February 26 that it had begun to export galvanized and zinc aluminum coated steel wires to Europe. The company stated that the expected shipment volume of wire rods in the European agricultural sector is about 300 tons per month, which is expected to have a positive impact on the company's total revenue and profitability S355MC steel.

It is reported that in the past two weeks, BMS has also received orders for galvanized steel wire from the UK with a total value of $707000, but the specific tonnage is not yet known. The production of this UK order will start in March, and the shipment is scheduled to be completed in April S355MC steel.

The current production capacity of the company is 72000 tons/year of galvanized, zinc aluminum coated, twisted and black annealed steel wires. In order to meet the growth of galvanized steel wire orders and increase the company's market share in both domestic and export markets, BMS signed an agreement with Nuh Wire, headquartered in Yalova, in early February to purchase the company's galvanized steel wire. BMS also stated that the production capacity of the steel wire production line is 36000 tons per year.

According to the data of the Mediterranean Union of Exporters of Ferrous and Non ferrous Metals, however, due to the increase in demand, especially from EU countries, the steel exports of Türkiye's steel mills increased by 17% year-on-year in January 2024, but it is expected that the demand will slow again in the near future S355MC steel.
