The main products produced by Kocaer Steel, Türkiye's SPH270D steel largest producer of section steel and commercial bars, include commercial bars, steel beams, channel steel and profiles, of which 84% are for export. At present, the comprehensive steel production capacity of three steel plants in Türkiye under Kocaer Steel is 800000 tons/year.
Kocaer had previously planned to suspend the production schedule of another factory A2 again from April to May 2023, and make necessary adjustments by debugging new mechanical SPH270D steel equipment on the production line without interfering with its production and shipping targets.
In January of this year, the company closed its A1 factory in Izmir Aliaga to install new equipment. The renovation of the A1 factory and the installation of new mechanical equipment have been completed, and the company has restarted steel production, hoping to increase the share of high value-added new products in total SPH270D steel production.
Kocaer increased its steel service center's production capacity by 50% to 180000 tons per year in early March. The service center focuses on projects in the energy sector, converting profiles into high value-added products. The company also plans to increase its current installed capacity of 13 million kilowatt hours of solar power generation to 45 million kilowatt hours through new investments to meet almost all electricity needs.
After a series of investments, the company will utilize the latest technology to produce new value-added products, further enhancing Kocaer's export competitiveness in the global market.
