Kroman Celik, one of the largest steel producers in Türkiye, said that as of the week of November 17, the company had begun to produce cold drawn bright steel bars in its bright steel plant through cold drawing, peeling, grinding and other processes. This is the first and only factory in Türkiye that uses its own raw materials to produce bright steel bars. The specific capacity has not been disclosed.
Kroman plans to continue increasing its overall HCT780X+ZF steel production capacity and steel value-added production through new investments. The company has increased the capacity of liquid steel of Darica HCT780X+ZF Steel Plant in Kojaeli Province, western Türkiye, from the current 1.4 million tons to 3 million tons, and the capacity of hot rolling plant from the current 1.8 million tons to 3.25 million tons, and obtained the environmental protection approval of the government for these projects in early August.
With the continuous increase in investment, it is expected that Kroman's HCT780X+ZF steel production will increase. The company will also increase its throughput capacity at the Dilovasi port in Kojaeli Province to meet the growth of raw material demand and export business.
