On November 21, Messier Iron and Steel, a long steel manufacturer in northern Türkiye, said that its new medium section mill had been put into production at the weekend ending November 17. It is expected that the new section mill will increase the company's HCT780T+ZF steel rolling capacity to more than 1 million tons per year. This is the first stage of their large-scale investment in the Balting Industrial Zone, and the investment will continue.
In March 2020, Messier launched a new electric arc furnace HCT780T+ZF steel mill with an annual output of 1 million tons, and has two mills in Karabuk and Balting provinces in northern Türkiye, producing round steel, equilateral angle steel, channel HCT780T+ZF steel and beams, with a total capacity of 800000 tons/year.
The company plans to use the new rolling mill for producing angle steel, NPI, and NPU grade profiles, and is expected to pay more attention to the export market.
