According to us, Yazici Steel (a subsidiary of Diler Holding), a large long material producer in Türkiye, S275N Grade L steel plans to build a 47 MW solar power plant in Ankara to reduce energy costs and carbon emissions. The project is expected to generate 100406 GWh of electricity annually and is scheduled to be put into operation in October 2025. According to the project documents submitted to the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change of Türkiye, the environmental approval process of the project was started on September 6.
Yazici Steel S275N Grade L steel produces 1 million tons of liquid steel annually, and the rolling mill has an annual production capacity of 1.25 million tons, mainly producing steel billets and rebar.
In recent years, most steel producers in Türkiye have increased their investment in renewable energy to respond to the requirements of the EU green agreement and reduce energy costs. The high cost of energy and raw materials has seriously weakened their competitiveness in the global market. The government of Türkiye also helps enterprises achieve the goal of net zero carbon emissions by 2053 through policy S275N Grade L steel support.
