In terms of trade volume, Türkiye A517 Grade F steel has become the largest steel export destination of the EU, with an export volume of 6.2 billion euros. At the same time, Türkiye is also the third largest steel import source country of the EU, with an import volume of 3.5 billion euros. The United States is the second largest steel export market for the European Union, with an export value of 5.4 billion euros, followed by the United Kingdom (4 billion euros), Switzerland (2.1 billion euros), and Mexico (1.7 billion euros). In terms of imports, India ranked first with an import volume of 3.9 billion euros, followed by South Korea with 3.6 billion euros, and China and Türkiye tied for third place with 3.5 billion euros. The UK (3.2 billion euros) is also one of the top five import source countries in the EU. Between 2019 and 2024, the EU's steel exports to Mexico increased by 54.1%, and exports to the United States A517 Grade F steel increased by 51.1%. During the same period, the EU's imports from India and South Korea increased by 89.2% and 43.0% respectively. The United States is the main export market for EU steel products, with steel products imported from the EU worth 8 billion euros, an increase of 45.1% compared to 2019. Other important export destinations include the United Kingdom (6.3 billion euros), Switzerland (3.5 billion euros), Norway (2.9 billion euros), and China A517 Grade F steel (2.8 billion euros).
