According to the Mediterranean Association of Exporters of Black and Non ferrous Metals (ADMIB), as global SEFC440 steel demand continues to shrink, the African market has gradually become an important alternative export market for Türkiye's steel industry.
The main SEFC440 steel exporters of Türkiye's steel products are Germany, Romania and Israel, accounting for 205.5 million US dollars, 156.2 million US dollars and 118.6 million US dollars of total exports in September respectively.
Some market participants have stated that the protectionist measures taken by various industries around the world have led to the SEFC440 steel market being squeezed and unable to make ends meet. The Government of Türkiye hopes to mitigate losses by developing alternative markets.
