Türkiye’s imports of square billet and bloom will decline by 33% in the first half of 2024

According to the latest data from Türkiye FeE700 steel Institute of Statistics (TUIK), in the first half of 2024, Türkiye's imports of square billet and bloom decreased by 33% year-on-year to 1318588 tons. In June, Türkiye's imports of square billet FeE700 steel and bloom fell 38.9% year on year, up 5.4% month on month to 164256 tons. Among them, Russia was the largest supplier of Türkiye's billet and bloom in June, with a supply of 43029.3 tons, followed by Indonesia (31117.6 tons), Ukraine (17259.8 tons), Iran (16002.1 tons) and Malaysia FeE700 steel (14557.4 tons).
