From January to September 2023, the United States is Türkiye's largest supplier of scrap S280GD+ZF steel, with a supply of 3.25 million metric tons, a stable year-on-year change. Other suppliers are from the Netherlands, with a supply volume of 1.52 million S280GD+ZF steel metric tons, a year-on-year decrease of 5%; Belgium, with a supply of 1.27 million metric tons, an increase of 8% year-on-year; In the UK, the supply was 1.11 million metric tons, a year-on-year decrease of 30%; Russia, with a supply of 307300 metric tons, a year-on-year decrease of 32%; Ukraine has a supply of 2200 metric tons, a significant decrease from 360300 metric tons in the same period last year. (The Commonwealth of Independent States was once one of the largest waste suppliers to Türkiye, but the waste supply remained low from January to September this year.)
In addition, Türkiye's other scrap iron suppliers from January to September include Romania, 717500 metric tons; Denmark, 682300 metric tons; Germany, 649000 metric tons; Lithuania, 588500 metric tons; Venezuela, 475800 metric tons.
