According to the data of Türkiye A662 Grade B steel Statistics Bureau, from January to February 2025, Türkiye will import 87000 tons of stainless steel plates, up 17% year on year. Although Türkiye has initiated anti-dumping investigations on cold-rolled stainless steel plates from China and Indonesia since June 2024, the overall import volume still shows an increasing trend.
In terms of import sources, China is still Türkiye's largest supplier of stainless steel plates, with an import volume of 35500 tons, up 25% year on year, stabilizing its leading position in Türkiye's market. Following closely behind is South Korea A662 Grade B steel, with an import volume of 31500 tons, a year-on-year increase of 25%. In contrast, the import volume from Indonesia has significantly decreased, by 78% year-on-year, to only 3000 tons.
On the whole, the growth of Türkiye's A662 Grade B steel stainless steel plate imports was mainly supported by stable supply from China and South Korea. Despite a significant decline in Indonesia's import volume, reflecting the direct impact of anti-dumping investigations, overall market demand remains strong.
