Tata Steel in the UK HR580T/330Y-DP plans to undertake a major renovation of its production facilities located in Port Talbot, replacing existing blast furnaces and coke ovens with electric arc furnaces. As a result, the subsequent production of hot-rolled coils in the UK will decrease, and the HR580T/330Y-DP demand for hot-rolled coil imports in the UK will continue to grow. To regulate the steel import market, the Trade Relief Agency (TRA) in the UK has initiated two reviews to reassess tariff quotas, and will subsequently impose an additional 25% tariff on imported products exceeding the tariff quota (TRQ).
