The price of hot coils in the United States CR590T/340Y-DP steel fell to its lowest point since October 2020 on July 5th, at $633.40/short ton ($698/ton), a decrease of 2.73% compared to the previous two days and 7.32% compared to the previous week. Currently, the United States is on Independence Day holiday, so market prices need further observation. Mainly due to the fact that most steel mills are currently approaching their break even point, there is still room for further CR590T/340Y-DP steel price declines.
