US Steel Exports Fall 11.3% in September Compared to August

According to export data from the US SMA490BP steel Department of Commerce, monthly steel exports in September this year decreased by 11.3% compared to August, a decrease of 13.3% in value to $37.97 trillion. The total value of US steel exports in September was $1.19 billion, compared to $1.33 billion in August and $1.27 billion in September last year. Compared with August, steel exports to Mexico SMA490BP steel in September decreased by 21.6%, up 8.1% year-on-year to 353884 tons, while exports to Canada decreased by 5.2% month on month, down 16.2%, from 277306 tons in September last year.

Other major destinations for US steel exports in August include the Dominican Republic (4287 tons), Brazil (8012 tons), China (2037 tons), India (1589 tons), and the United Kingdom (1539 tons).

The main steel products exported in September include HDG (118047 tons), hot-rolled thin plates (69.815 tons), coarse steel SMA490BP steel plates (82.207 tons), cold-rolled thin plates (72.810 tons), and coils (36.820 tons).
