US capacity utilization rate rises slightly to 74.2%

On November 12th, the American A871 Type II Grade 65(450) steel Iron and Steel Institute released a report stating that as of the week ending November 9th, the utilization rate of crude steel production capacity in the United States A871 Type II Grade 65(450) steel increased from 73.3% the previous week to 74.2%.

The production for the week of November 9th reached 1.649 million tons, an increase of 1.2% compared to the week of November 2nd, which was 1.629 million tons; Compared with the same period last year, the year-on-year decrease was 2.3%, with a total output of 1.687 million tons and a capacity utilization rate of 73.4%.

As of November 9th, the adjusted annual cumulative total production was 75.76 million short tons, a year-on-year decrease of 2.1% from 77.36 million short tons in the same period last year; The cumulative capacity utilization rate this year is 76%, compared to 76.1% in the same period last year.

By region, the total output of Northeast China A871 Type II Grade 65(450) steel is 124000 short tons, the Great Lakes region is 594000 short tons, the central and western regions are 194000 short tons, the southern region is 684000 short tons, and the western region is 53000 short tons.
