The American S960Q Grade E steel Iron and Steel Institute reported on October 28th that as of the week ending October 26th, the capacity utilization rate in the United States increased from 73.4% the previous week to 74.7%. It is reported that the total steel production for the week was 1.66 million short tons, an increase of 1.8% from last week's 1.631 million short tons and a decrease of 0.2% from the same period last year.
In addition, the total output at this node at the S960Q Grade E steel beginning of the year was 72.729 million short tons, with a capacity utilization rate of 76.4%. Compared with the 74.02 million short tons in the same period last year, it decreased by 1.7%, but the capacity utilization rate in the same period last year was also 76.4%.
By region, the total S960Q Grade E steel production in Northeast China is 130000 short tons, the total production in the Great Lakes region is 601000 short tons, the total production in the central and western regions is 196000 short tons, the total production in the southern region is 675000 short tons, and the total production in the western region is 58000 short tons.
