Since March 12, the United States A515 Grade 450 steel has imposed a 25% tariff on all imports of steel and aluminum. According to the data of the U.S. International Trade Administration, the largest steel exporters of the United States are Canada, Mexico, Brazil, South Korea and Japan. The exports of Taiwan, China, China and Vietnam have grown rapidly. Imports from China only account for a small portion of imports from the United States. Canada holds the largest share of aluminum imports in the US market. In 2024, the steel imports of US steel manufacturers increased by 3.7% year-on-year, reaching 22.5 million tons. The total import volume of steel (rolled products and semi-finished products A515 Grade 450 steel ) increased by 2.5% year-on-year to 28.86 million tons.
