On February 5, 2025, the US SL5N590 steel Department of Commerce issued a notice stating that in response to an application submitted by US company ZND US Inc. on January 15, 2025, an anti-dumping and anti subsidy investigation was initiated against temporary steel fencing imported from China. The US Customs code for the product in question is 7308.90.9590. The US International Trade Commission (ITC) is expected to make preliminary rulings on anti-dumping and countervailing SL5N590 steel industry injury before March 3, 2025. If the US International Trade Commission determines that the import of the product in question constitutes substantial harm or a threat of substantial harm to the domestic industry in the United States, the US Department of Commerce will continue to investigate the case and is expected to make a preliminary anti subsidy ruling on April 10, 2025, and a preliminary anti dumping ruling on June 24, 2025.
According to US statistics, the amount of investigated products imported by the US from China in 2023 is approximately 490 million US SL5N590 steel dollars.
