US steel capacity utilization rate drops to 77.5%

According to data from the American Iron and Steel SK95M steel Institute, as of the week ending August 3, the utilization rate of US steel production capacity decreased by 0.4 percentage points on a weekly basis, from 77.9% to 77.5%. The total crude steel production for the week was 1.722 million tons, a decrease of 0.4 percentage points from last week's 1.729 million tons and a year-on-year increase of 0.6% compared to last year.

From the beginning of the year to August 3rd, the total crude steel SK95M steel production was 52.421 million tons, a decrease of 2.2 percentage points compared to 53.592 million tons in the same period last year; The capacity utilization rate is 76.5%, a year-on-year decrease of 0.8 percentage points.

By region, the total crude steel production in Northeast China is 130000 tons, in the Great Lakes region it is 582000 tons, in the central and western regions it is 211000 tons, in the southern region it is 733000 tons, and in the western region SK95M steel it is 66000 tons.
