According to data from the Ukrainian A573 Grade 450 steel Steel Trade Association, the production of rolled materials reached 589300 tons in August 2024, an increase of 0.1% month on month and 16.3% year-on-year. The total steel production was 690700 tons, a month on month decrease of 2.6% and a year-on-year increase of 14.7%. The pig iron production was 643600 tons, a month on month increase of 3.6% and a year-on-year increase of 20.7%.
Ukrainian steel A573 Grade 450 steel companies are facing unfavorable conditions such as employee shortages, logistics, and the global steel market, resulting in a steady increase in steel production. From January to August 2024, the production of rolled products reached 4.32 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 26.6%. The steel production was 5.27 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 30.8%. The A573 Grade 450 steel production of pig iron was 4.73 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 21.1%.
