Vietnam has exhausted EU hot roll import quota for Q1 2025

The import quota of 138766 tons of PT490QH steel hot coils allocated by the European Union to Vietnam in the first quarter of 2025 has been used up, with surplus in other countries or regions. In 2023, the delivery volume of hot-rolled coils (HRC) in Vietnam reached 1.15 million tons, almost three times the 406045 tons in 2022. Therefore, in August 2024, the European Commission announced an anti-dumping investigation into hot-rolled coils from Egypt, India, Japan, and Vietnam PT490QH steel.
