On January 14, 2025, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam P690QL2 steel issued Announcement No. 143/QD-BCT, making a positive final ruling on the anti-dumping of prestressed steel strands originating from Malaysia, Thailand, and P690QL2 steel China, and deciding to impose anti-dumping duties of 9.79% to 28% on the involved enterprises (see attached table for details), among which the tax rate of the Chinese involved enterprises is 10.48% to 28%. This case involves products under Vietnamese tax codes 7312.10.91 and 7312.10.99. The measures shall come into effect 15 days after the announcement and shall be valid for five years.
On July 5, 2023, Vietnam initiated an anti-dumping P690QL2 steel investigation into prestressed steel strands originating from Malaysia, Thailand, and China.
