Vietnam’s crude steel production in February achieves month on month and year-on-year growth

According to data released on the official website of the Vietnam SA537 Class 3 steel Steel Association, Vietnam's crude steel production reached 1.79 million tons in February, a month on month increase of 6.5% and a year-on-year increase of 9.1%; The total crude steel production in the first two months of 2025 is approximately 3.47 million tons.

In terms of production, Vietnam's finished steel production in February was 2.152 million tons, a month on month decrease of 6.25% and a year-on-year increase of 29.8% (except for a 16.47% increase in steel pipe production and a 7.36% increase in cold coil SA537 Class 3 steel production, the production of other products such as building materials, hot coils, and galvanized products all decreased); The total output of finished steel in the first two months of 2025 was 4.45 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 5.2% (including a 52% increase in cold coil, a 22.1% increase in steel pipe, a 5.8% increase in galvanized steel and color coated products, a 15.3% decrease in hot coil, and a 5.7% decrease in building materials).

In terms of sales, Vietnam's SA537 Class 3 steel finished steel sales in February were 2.4 million tons, an increase of 16.63% month on month and 29.8% year-on-year (except for a 10.06% decrease in hot-rolled coils, all other categories increased); In the first two months of 2025, the sales volume of finished steel products totaled 4.479 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 4.6% (steel pipe exports increased by 30.5%, building materials increased by 10.8%, cold coil increased by 4.8%, and hot-rolled coil and galvanized products both decreased).
