Title: Launch of Kardemir Celik Izmir Solar and Wind Power SA387 Grade 11 steel Project in Türkiye
The Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change of Türkiye recently announced that the solar and wind power generation project planned by Türkiye's steel enterprise Kardemircelik Sanayi A.S. in Izmir Ariada has completed the review and assessment process of the application for environmental impact assessment (EIA), and is officially entering the environmental impact assessment stage. The total investment of the project is 78.31 million Türkiye lira, equivalent to about 2.15 million US dollars.

In this plan, the solar power plant will invest 15.31 million Türkiye lira (about 420000 US dollars). After completion, it will be equipped with 3120 photovoltaic panels, with an installed power generation capacity of 1.250 MW. For the wind power generation project, the investment is 63 million Türkiye lira (about 1.73 million US dollars), the installed power generation capacity is 3.6 MW, and the project also includes the construction of a wind turbine.

The expected service SA387 Grade 11 steel life of both power plants is 25 years, which can be flexibly extended according to energy demand in the future. Once environmental and other necessary approvals are obtained, the project will be completed within 6 months. This will not only help Kardemir expand its business territory, but also promote the green transformation of the energy structure in the Izmir region, providing strong support for local sustainable development.
