Indonesian steel producer PT Krakatau Steel recently announced the conclusion of two key supply agreements, injecting a stabilizing impetus into its production and operations. First, Krakatau Steel’s subsidiary, Krakatau Pipe Industries, has signed a contract to supply a total of 80,000 tons of steel pipes for the Dusem natural gas transmission pipeline project. B35AR300 Non oriented electrical steel, The company stated that this pipeline project, spanning 541 kilometers in length, is classified as a National Strategic Project of Indonesia, with construction expected to commence between 2025 and 2027.
Secondly, Krakatau Steel has signed a one-year supply contract for cold-rolled coil (CRC) with PT Tata Metal Lestari. Under the agreement, Krakatau Steel will supply 10,000 tons of CRC products to PT Tata Metal Lestari on a monthly basis, commencing from the effective date of the contract. The company noted that this agreement will provide Krakatau Steel with crucial working capital, thereby helping to sustain its market competitiveness.
Reportedly, this supply collaboration builds upon the existing partnership between the two parties.
