Yamato Steel Co. Ltd., one of Japan's major structural steel producers, has officially commissioned a Compact Roller Straightener (CRS) supplied by the German SMS Group.
The equipment is installed on the heavy section steel rolling mill at the company's facility in Himeji, 23RK085 oriented electrical steel, and according to SMS Group, it is the first compact roller straightening machine to be officially put into operation in Japan.
This device features nine rollers with a roller spacing of 2000 millimeters (2 meters), capable of high-precision straightening of heavy structural steel and steel sheet piles. 23RK085 oriented electrical steel, By applying precise and controllable bending forces, it eliminates product deformation and reduces residual stress, thereby improving the geometric accuracy and consistency of the product.
SMS Group's scope of supply includes: complete engineering design, in-house manufactured core components, automation control systems, equipment commissioning support, and spare and replacement parts, 23RK085 oriented electrical steel.
