South Korea's Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy announced on August 28 that it has finalized its decision to impose anti-dumping duties of 27.91%–34.1% on hot-rolled carbon steel or other alloy steel plates imported from China, XAR450 steel with an implementation period of five years.
The Korea International Trade Commission determined that the dumping of Chinese products has caused substantial damage to South Korean domestic industries and recommended that the measures be submitted to the Minister of Economy and Finance for approval.XAR450 steel Previously, from April 24 to November 23, provisional anti-dumping duties of 27.91%–38.02% were already in effect on the relevant steel plate products.
Meanwhile, South Korea pointed out that it recommends exempting nine Chinese exporting companies from anti-dumping duties because they have pledged to raise export prices over the next five years, including setting minimum export prices and a quarterly adjustment mechanism. However, if these companies violate their commitments, taxes will be immediately reinstated.
Apart from the nine companies mentioned above, XAR450 steel Chinese exporters who have not made commitments will continue to be subject to anti-dumping duties of up to 34.1%.
