According to data released by South Korea's Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy on September 16, L450Q steel, South Korea's automobile production in August 2025 increased by 7.1% year-on-year to 321,000 vehicles, mainly driven by increases in both exports and domestic sales.
Domestic sales of new energy vehicles in August increased by 8.3% year-on-year to 139,000 units, of which new energy vehicles accounted for 50.7%, with sales volume surging by 36.1% year-on-year to 70,000 units. L450Q steel, Among them, hybrid vehicles accounted for 43,800 units, up 25.4% year-on-year, while pure electric vehicles accounted for 24,300 units, up 55.7% year-on-year. Meanwhile, exports of new energy vehicles in August increased by 26.6% year-on-year, reaching 69,500 units.
The ministry pointed out that with the continued strong sales of electric vehicles in China, the cumulative sales of electric vehicles in China from January to August 2025 reached 141,000 units, an increase of 47.6% year-on-year, which is close to the total sales of 142,000 units in 2024.
From January to August 2025, L450Q steel, South Korea's cumulative automobile production reached 2.75 million vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 0.5%; domestic sales reached 1.1 million vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 4.2%; and exports reached 1.82 million vehicles, a year-on-year decrease of 1.8%.
