Hatboru, a Turkish welded steel pipe manufacturer, recently completed a shipment of pipes for a drinking water pipeline project in Italy. The pipes were shipped from its Giurgiu, Romania, plant. NK K/D36 steel The pipes, in two sizes (508 mm) and 914 mm, were treated with epoxy coatings on both the inside and outside, and polyethylene coating on the outside, respectively, to enhance corrosion resistance and service life. The company did not disclose the exact shipment volume.
Hatboru stated that leveraging the geographical and production advantages of its Romanian plant, it will continue to expand its engineering project supply capabilities in the EU market. Since its commissioning, the plant has become a key hub for the company's exports to the EU.
Currently, Hatboru has a total of five production lines in Turkey and Romania, including two drilling steel pipe lines and three spiral welded pipe lines, NK K/D36 steel with an annual production capacity of approximately 200,000 tons, mainly serving the water conservancy, energy and infrastructure sectors.
Industry analysts believe that, amidst accelerated infrastructure upgrades and increased public works spending in Europe, demand for large-diameter, high-protection steel pipes is steadily growing, which is expected to continue to drive orders for welded pipes in the region.
