The SGCC steel wire rope, steel wire and prestressed concrete strand produced by Celik Halat, Türkiye's largest producer of steel wire, steel wire rope and prestressed concrete strand, are widely used in many fields such as construction, ships, fishery, petroleum, mining, elevators, cable chairs and cranes, and their products are exported to more than 40 countries.
Currently, Celik Halat has obtained environmental approval from the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change for its Kartepe factory capacity increase project located in Kojaeli Province. The company plans to build a new galvanizing and pickling production line at the facility, and will increase the production capacity of the existing galvanizing production line from the current 28869 tons/year to 41278 tons/year SGCC steel.
The company has recently decided to build a new 18 MWe solar power plant to reduce electricity costs and carbon emissions. The goal is to reduce natural gas costs by 30% through equipment and automation software updates, while improving product quality and providing more competitive products for the market SGCC steel.
