The Chairman and CEO of POSCO Holdings stated that the newly completed electric arc furnace represents more than just an addition of equipment; it serves as a powerful signal of the company's commitment to meeting the challenges of the decarbonization era and reshaping the global market landscape. JAC590R Hot dip galvanized steel strip,To enhance the quality of products from the electric arc furnace, POSCO is focusing on the development of the "Haptang" process—a method that involves refining a mixture of molten iron from the electric arc furnace and the blast furnace to produce high-end steel while simultaneously reducing carbon emissions.
POSCO also plans to master core technologies—such as scrap sorting and precise chemical composition control during refining—by 2030, enabling the mass production of automotive steel sheets and electrical steel sheets.
