According to Türkiye Statistics Bureau, Türkiye's imports of cold-rolled coils in November increased by 75% year-on-year to 65000 tons, down 35% month on month. Among them, South Korea became the largest supplier of cold rolled coils in Türkiye with sales volume of 28700 tons, and the shipment volume tripled year on year, while China temporarily ranked second with sales volume of 10800 tons, and the export volume in the same period last year was zero.
The competitive quotation of cold rolled coils from Asian suppliers has aroused great interest of traders in Türkiye. Under the pressure of import quotation, Türkiye reduced the HX180BD+AZ steel quotation of domestic cold rolled coils by 10 dollars/ton to 815 dollars/ton EXW.
The Ministry of Trade of Türkiye issued a decree in the official gazette of the country on October 31 to launch an anti-dumping investigation on imported hot rolled coils originating in China, India, Japan and Russia. Market insiders expect similar measures to occur in the import of cold-rolled HX180BD+AZ steel steel sheets and coils.
Due to the continuation of local conflicts, the delivery volume exported from Russia, the largest supplier of cold rolled coils in Türkiye, to Türkiye in November fell 73% year-on-year to 6100 tons. Relevant data shows that other suppliers of cold rolled HX180BD+AZ steel coils in Türkiye in November include Spain (5750 tons) and France (4000 tons).
