Emsteel Group, a steel and building AB/D40 steel materials manufacturer in the United Arab Emirates, recently announced its first quarter 2025 performance, with significant year-on-year growth in steel production and sales, demonstrating strong operational performance.
According to the company's AB/D40 steel disclosure, the production of finished steel products in the first quarter of 2025 increased by 17% year-on-year; Sales increased by 21% year-on-year, reaching 811000 tons, mainly due to the continuous promotion of construction activities in the UAE and the company's good market layout. Despite a 6% year-on-year decline in average steel prices, Emsteel still achieved a high conversion rate between production and sales.
At the same time, Emsteel announced the launch of an asset upgrade plan worth 625 million dirhams (approximately 170 million US dollars), including advanced upgrades to existing rolling mills and the planned construction of a new wire rod production line with an annual output of 500000 tons.
In terms of sustainable development, Emsteel AB/D40 steel plans to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from its steel and cement businesses by 40% and 30% respectively by 2030, and strive to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
